Booking System
A booking chart for the following
calendar year is circulated in agreed priority order before the
owners’ annual meeting, where the bookings for the next year are
confirmed.
Each owner has a priority for that year, and moves up a couple
of places each year: after a year at the top of the list, the
owner then starts at the bottom, and after six years the cycle
begins again. Each owner can choose two weeks (separately or as
a fortnight) in the ‘high season’ (April to October inclusive),
and one week in the remainder of the year. By this route,
thirty-six weeks are firmly booked before the year begins.
Allowing for time for winter maintenance, the remaining fourteen
weeks are booked with priority in reverse order to the original
chart, so having last choice originally does have its
compensations. These extra bookings are confirmed on the first
day of the month before the month of the booking.
Priority for school holidays
Priority for school holidays. Two designated
"special" shares have priority booking of school holiday weeks and pay a
higher proportion of the costs than "ordinary" shares thus reducing the
other 9 shares contributions
General comments about the boat
A semi-traditional style rear deck, under
which lies a Vetus M 4.17 engine and hydraulic PRM gearbox. Seating
is provided on both sides of the rear deck area.
From the stern we enter the saloon, which along with the dinette is
part of a spacious 24ft open plan living area.
From the two comfortable reclining “Captain’s” chairs, you can enjoy
the entertainment centre with Freeview TV, DVD and DAB radio/CD
connected to four speakers distributing sound throughout the boat.
A traditional solid fuel stove
complements the Webasco diesel central heating system.
The boat features extensive storage throughout. There is an
adult-sized ‘put you up’ bed.
DINETTE
Features L-shaped fully upholstered seating (which converts to a
double bed at night). The table is removable with storage space
provided when not in use. There is a side hatch opposite the
dinette, and a full view of the TV from the seating area. Two
stools/folding chairs are included to enable five people to dine
comfortably.
GALLEY
Boasts a gas hob, eye level oven and grill, plus microwave and
full-sized fridge with integral freezer compartment. Extensive
storage and solid oak work surfaces.
BATHROOM
Luxury bathroom, including a walk-in shower,
fresh water flushing WC, hand basin and storage.
MASTER CABIN
Includes a permanent double bed (this converts into a king size if
required) TV point and lots of further storage space including a
large wardrobe. Glazed double doors open to front deck with seating.
POWER SUPPLY
There are both 12- and 240-volt circuits, the latter being served by
a Victron Phoenix 3-kilowatt charger/inverter which allows battery
charging from a shore-based power supply. The boat carries five
110-amp leisure batteries and one starter battery, monitored by a
digital Victron management .

General Comments by vendor
If required an incoming owner can
elect to have the share changed to one where each year going
forward a school holiday priority
can be secured. Please contact the vendor if this option
appeals to you.
Built as recently as 2014
this boat has a long list of "mod-cons" internally but
externally has a somewhat more traditional look.
The standard of 'fit-out' is extremely high and the full
size shower I can vouch is particularly welcoming after a a
long day at the tiller.
The semi trad stern offers some break from the weather and
can be handy at keeping children under supervision whilst
cruising.
There is a diesel boiler for central heating and gas for the
hob and oven.
From the mechanical side, the prop shaft is water cooled, so
no greasing at the end of the day.
The other owners are very friendly with a mix of levels of
boating experience.
If you are new to boating and purchase our share I am happy
to spend a day with you on your first voyage, taking you
through narrow boating in general and Heartsease in
particular.
