General comments about the boat
Brock is a 60’ Trad style narrow boat built by award-winning Sagar Marine and fitted out to high standards for comfortable all season canal/river cruising

Brock offers spacious and flexible accommodation for 2 to 6 people.

Lined throughout in mellow Parana pine with light oak bulkheads/furniture and contrasting mahogany trim she is heavily carpeted. Brass fittings and colour coordinated soft furnishings are shown off by spotlights and gimballed ‘oil’ lights. A selection of pictures, prints and plates enhance the interior, whilst externally brass portholes, vents, headlamp and horn, twin chimneys, pigeon boxes and a large cushioned foredeck area - all declare Brock to be a luxurious private owner craft.

Engine room
Heavily silenced Lister/Petter Canal Star 36hp engine (new 2003), ‘Aquadrive’ bow thruster, steerers swivel seat, plus cabin top cushions, storage for wet/dry gear.

Master cabin
A delightful private cabin with portholes, comfortable pretty canopied ‘Poster’ bed, wardrobe, drawers, en-suite access to bathroom.

Bathroom
A well-fitted cabin with Victorian blue/white tiles and large brass porthole, ceramic washbasin, fresh water flush toilet, hip bath/shower, Alde central heating boiler linked to calorifier.

Dining area/double cabin
‘L’ shaped settee, corner cupboards, drawer storage. A solid mahogany table is hinged to the bulkhead and can be bolted upright to provide comfortable single or double berth with privacy from the saloon by a long hanging drape.

Easy access to shore (Port) with good storage under steps.

Galley
A fully-fitted galley with fridge/freezer, gas oven/grill (new 2013) and inset 4 burner hob, 1 ½ bowl inset sink/drainer.

Saloon
The light and spacious saloon is decorated with pictures, plates, gimballed brass lamps. Heating by Brunel solid fuel stove, set in a tiled surround, or by central heating radiators. Large comfortable full width ‘L’ shaped settee converts to 2 single berths. Good drawer storage as well as a hangin
g wardrobe and display shelves. Flat screen TV/DVD, stereo radio/CD, drop leaf table folding chairs enable the saloon to be used as a dining area. There is good forward vision through the glazed doors/windows.

General Comments by vendor

Brock is a well-maintained Trad style narrow boat. With Sagar’s curvaceous steelwork, quality fit-out and furnishings she is much admired.

We are seeking experienced boaters, who share our aim to keep Brock to a high standard, to join our small friendly group which is keen on narrow boating and exploring as much of the canals as we can. With only 3 / 4 members we can offer reasonably flexible boating and link cruising if desired.

Based on the Macclesfield Canal at over 500ft we have superb views from our marina over the Cheshire Plain to the Welsh and Pennine Hills with a good selection of ring routes and access to the Peak Forest Canal even in winter.

We have regular winter servicing and dry-docking for comastic blacking etc doing such jobs as we can ourselves and using professionals as needs. Brock has a full 4 year boat certificate until April 2017.

We look forward to meeting you and showing you our boat.
