General comments about the boat
Beginning at the semi traditional
stern, (equipment locker situated here) go down into rear cabin
where there is a fixed extendable double bed and vanity unit. Plenty
of storage under bed. Radio installed above bed. Also a wardrobe
which houses an Alde gas fired boiler. Ideal for drying wet
clothing.
Moving forward, toilet and shower room to the left with shallow
wardrobe in corridor.
Forward again into galley where there is a gas fuelled oven and
grill and four burner hob. An electric fridge and microwave oven are
standard equipment. Storage cupboards under sink unit. The side door
is in the galley.
Forward of the galley is the dining area which converts to a double
bed.
Forward of the dining area is the lounge with an 'L' shaped settee
which also converts to a double bed by using a second table that can
be utilised in this area. An additional small square table can also
be used here. A Squirrel stove is
mounted at the front of this cabin as
well as a flat screen TV with DVD player. A radio is fitted here.
The cabin contains a small wardrobe opposite the stove.
Continue forward through double doors into the cockpit which is
fitted with a covered cratch.
A hydraulic bow thruster makes for easy handling.

General Comments by vendor
Verity is a very
reliable, well looked after boat. Owners are welcome to
carry out any DIY work which they are capable of doing in
order to keep maintenance cost down.
The internal appearance is enhanced by wall coverings,
carpet below the gunwales and wall covering above. The
ceiling is finished in timber panels and the floor is
carpeted throughout except the galley area and rear cabin
aft of the bed.
We usually stay at a mooring location for two years and then
move on. This enables a much greater opportunity to explore
more of the canal system. This year we have moved to Ventnor
Farm Marina in Warwickshire following several years moored
in Staffordshire.
Verity is a former Challenger boat which is now
self-managed. Any surplus from the annual running costs is
ring-fenced to cover major expenditure. The syndicate
appoints Chair, Secretary and Treasurer at the AGM, whilst
other syndicate members take responsibility to find new
mooring venues. The syndicate members are friendly and get
on well with each other
